Well-being young people in North Karelia

The aim of the project is to produce information and development proposals directly from young people about their own needs, experiences and wishes for well-being services in North Karelia. This information will be used after the project in the planning, implementation and communication of services.

The project gather information on the whole region. The opinions and experiences of young people will be mapped by an electronic survey from all municipalities (13 municipalities) in co-operation with schools and other partners. Information from youth will be gather regionally also by using and testing various workshops and participatory methods.

This project aims to gather the experiences of young people from a wide range of target groups, including those young people who are outside education or are not already ‘active’. Youth are recruited through organisations, hobbies and targeted youth work.

As a result of the survey, new local and regional youth-driven data will be available and reported in two phases. The collected information is available to partner organisations and municipalities in the development of services and in future project preparation. Findings and phenomena from young people are actively brought to the common discussions.
